Our History

Tanzania Women in Energy Network is a non-profit organization, established in 2019 in Dar es Salaam. Our aim is to increase the proportion of women leaders in the Tanzania energy sector.

Our objective is to support the growing professional community of women in the energy field, enable women to reach top decision-making positions and bring women board mandates to a visible level.

Our Objective

TaWoE objectives are to support the growing professional community of women in the energy sector value chain, enable women to reach top decision-making positions and bring women board mandates to a visible level.

This includes promote gender inclusion in the energy sector, women participation in energy development activities and programs as well as accord women with entrepreneurship and mentorship opportunities and make them champions of change in the energy sector in Tanzania.
